The Sea

The weather is really teasing us here lately, some days it feels like summer and then the next day it’s definitely winter. I’m trying to make the most of the nice days and trying to fall back in love with Dublin. There’s no use in being homesick, which I have been a lot lately. Looking back really isn’t healthy and I’m trying to work on being present and in the moment more. I need to create memories for my boys and focus on the life we’re building for them. It really doesn’t matter where we live, because family is more than a place.

As it happens, we do live near the sea, which I love. Even if we forget about it sometimes and take it for granted. We had a spontaneous outting to Bray a few days ago and it was magic. Bray is definitely underrated. We had a really casual, fun evening. It was something I’d been missing, just relaxing and laughing together without any toddler tantrums. This is a difficult stage as a parent and I think taking the time to create little moments like this is essential. These pictures capture just how happy we all were in this moment and it’s a place I’d like us to stay in for a while.
